5K race & 1 mile fun run starting at the The Abbey in Townsend, featuring the scariest swag in the history of Very Scary 5Ks!! Race, run, walk, or zombie crawl 5K (that's 3.1 long miles if you're a zombie) and take home:

The 5K & 1 mile runs start at 8:00pm, with full support along the way and a guaranteed good time. You might even (OK you almost certainly will!) experience a Scary sighting along the course!
Due to insurance regulations we can't have pets, strollers, wagons, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, parachute pants, or Members Only jackets on course. But we can have costumes!
Friday the 13th Showing at Dusk!
Who wants to see the original Friday the 13th movie under the stars after the race?? Once it's dark enough out (so it'll be nice and spooky!) we'll put up a screen out by the river at The Abbey (weather permitting) and have a screening of the movie! Bring chairs and a blankie and settle in for some scary fun!
Costume Contest
Runners and volunteers (kids and adults), it's costume contest time! Show up and show out in your best Halloween costume. We will start the costume contest 1 hour before race start, promptly at 7pm -- awards will be presented for the top costumes! Awards will go to top kids and top adult costumes... and maybe the whole family! It's completely up to you if you want to run the race scary style -- but we completely encourage running in costume. We can't wait to see what you come up with.... so, bring it!! There may even be a bigfoot sighting...

Very Scary 5K Course
The course starts and finishes at the Townsend Abbey, with one aid station that runners hit twice just before the scary tunnel crossing...
Packet Pickup Info
Avoid the scariiness and get your swag before race morning - and thank you! Packet pickup will be just before the race starts.

We won't be shipping any swag or awards, and we can't hold it for late pickup, so get your goodies before the race!
